Humane Charities
Many generous people support health charities - either through donations or a bequest - particularly if they have lost a loved one from a specific disease or illness. What people may not realise however, is that this money may contribute towards animal experiments.
However, there are medical charities that do not fund animal research. By supporting those on the Humane Charities list, you will be redirecting vital funding towards health charities who recognise that real medical progress can only be made through studying our own species and abandoning the use of animal experiments.
The following list comprises charities that adhere to our standards.
Please let your charities know that you will only support those that do not support animal-based research. If your favorite charity is not listed below, please send us their contact details and we will approach them to ascertain whether they qualify for listing.
Note however that the charities listed consist of 'health' and 'medical' charities. The omission of charities that address animal welfare, environment or poverty for example, does not necessarily deem them as not being 'humane'.
If you belong to a health charity and wish to be included on our list, you can download our Declaration Form
